A plain-language privacy overview
Nomad Grid is a static informational publication. We aim to collect as little personal information as possible. The visible newsletter and contact forms are display-only interfaces: they do not submit, store or transmit entries. If you choose to contact us by email at [email protected], the information in your message is handled for the purpose of reading, responding to and maintaining the editorial correspondence. Do not send passwords, payment information, account recovery codes or other unnecessary sensitive information.
This page is a GDPR-oriented explanation of how publication interactions are approached. It is not a substitute for legal advice. If the site’s technical setup changes to add a form processor, analytics service, advertising technology or newsletter platform, this notice should be updated before that processing begins.
Contact data, purpose and lawful basis
Email correspondence may contain your email address, name, message content, technical headers supplied by your mail service and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond to an editorial question, evaluate a correction or manage a legitimate publication-related inquiry. The relevant lawful basis will normally be legitimate interests in operating and improving an independent publication, or steps taken at your request when you ask us to reply. Where consent is required for a future optional communication, it should be requested separately and clearly.
We do not ask visitors to create accounts. The nonfunctional forms on the site are deliberately configured not to send entries. If you email a correction, it is helpful to include a source and page location, but you should include only the personal information needed to make the correspondence useful.
Retention and sharing
Email correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain an editorial record, address a correction or meet applicable legal obligations. Retention periods can vary by the purpose and the content of a message. We do not sell personal information. We do not share editorial correspondence for advertising purposes. Technical hosting and email providers may process information as necessary to deliver their services, subject to their own contractual and privacy arrangements.
Links to third-party websites are provided for navigation or general reference. Their privacy practices are separate from Nomad Grid. Review the relevant third-party policy before submitting information on an external site.
Your GDPR-oriented rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to request access to personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction, objection to processing based on legitimate interests, portability in certain circumstances, and the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection authority. Rights are not absolute and may depend on the context of the information held. To make a request, email [email protected] with enough detail to identify the correspondence at issue. We may need to verify the request before acting.
